Windows 10 is Officially Released
The long wait is finally over. Microsoft released Windows 10 to the public just a few hours ago and quite a few people have already downloaded it.
So far the reviews coming in have been largely favourable with Fortune calling it “much, much better than Windows 8″. This is pretty much good news for Microsoft who have been hit with a lot of negativity over their redesign of Windows 8 according to their latest earnings report.
Microsoft’s goal is to have Windows 10 on 1 billion devices by 2019, and the positive reviews will take them a long way towards this.
Here’s how to install Windows 10 on your current machine. First check Windows Update. If you have pre-registered for it, you may see a notification saying the download is ready. You can then install it right over your current version of Windows and keep all your data and settings. If you want to do a clean install you can download the .ISO file from here.
