Apple Announces iPhone 6S Event Date

Apple has announced its iPhone launch on September 9th with invitations sent to media for the event at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. With seating capacity of 7000, the event is slated to be big.

It is expected that the company will unveil smartphones, the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus. Not much is known about what the new phones will have on it, but some suspect that it would include Force Touch – which will allow the phone to detect force-sensitive touches, which has already appeared on the Apple Watch. A camera upgrade has also been rumoured.

Leaked images off Chinese tech site cnBeta shows an iPhone with what looks like an animated wallpaper. Motion wallpapers already exist on the Apple Watch.

There are rumours of new iPads, including a larger iPad Pro, and a revised Apple TV. We will also see iOS 9, OS El Capitan and watchOS 2. All the major tech sites in the US will be live blogging and covering the event, so stay tuned.
