Pokemon Go Lets You Play in the Real World
If you haven’t gotten enough of Pokemon yet, Pokemon Go lets you play the game in the real world. The game was produced in collaboration with Nintendo and Niantic, the former Google company behind the augmented reality game, Ingress. Pokemon Go lets players find virtual Pokemon and do battle in the real world, powered by GPS.
Nintendo is also developing a smartwatch device called the Pokemon Go Plus that lets you take part in the game’s world without having to stare at your phone all day. The Pokeball-shaped device will vibrate and light up when you get near a Pokemon in real life. The Pokemon Company has been working with Nintendo for around two years, to create the device.
Pokemon Go will be available in 2016 for iOS and Android. The game will be free to play with in-app purchases available. There is no price as yet for the wearable. The actual game wasn’t shown at the press conference, but the very cute trailer will give you an idea at least, of what the companies are aiming for.
