Huawei Unveils GR5 2017 in Sri Lanka
Amid the usual fanfare of music and fashion, Huawei, along with Singer Sri Lanka, unveiled the new GR5 2017 at the Singer Lifestyle Festival at the BMICH over the weekend. This is the first time the newest addition to the G series device portfolio has been launched in the South Asian region.
Introducing the device to a throng of excited onlookers, Shunli Wang, Huawei Sri Lanka CEO said, “GR stands for ‘great.’ Greater features, greater quality and greater values,” and this is what the phone has been designed for.”
Along with CEO Shunli Wang, Huawei Device Sri Lanka general manager Kalpa Perera, Singer Sri Lanka PLC Group CEO Asoka Pieris and Singer Sri Lanka PLC marketing director Kumar Samarasinghe was present at the event.
The new GR5 smartphone incorporates a stylish design without any compromise on the technological aspects. Users will now be able to purchase a smartphone that would boast of an unmatched price tag along with cutting-edge feature options, which will include a dual camera and fingerprint sensors using the latest tech advancements.
The dual camera includes a 12MP and a 2MP rear camera for depth of field, 3G RAM and 3340mAh battery for good performance and a 5.5-inch FHD with a metal design and curved body. The 1.25um large pixel option helps the user to achieve a cleaner shot with more clarity for photos that would be captured in the night.
The Huawei GR5 2017 also includes a third generation fingerprint sensor that is both user-friendly and convenient. Since customers by and large prefer to integrate a password option into their devices for security purposes, the fingerprint sensor option would provide the smartphone owner with the added benefit of protecting the information that is saved on their devices.
Available in three different colours: Gold, Silver, and Grey, the phone is priced at LKR 35,900, and is available for purchase at all Singer outlets including Singer Mega, Singer Plus and SISIL World stores island wide.
